The following resources will be made available on Dropbox.
These resources will shorten the process of dialing in the nuance of your solo vocal preparation.
Each Worship Leader will be expected to learn the music on their own so that they come prepared to the vocal coaching rehearsal.
Reference Recording:
The original recording affixed with click/metronome and guide cues of song sections. This recording will allow the Worship Leader to listen to, sing along with, and emulate the lead vocals of the original recording with the song’s tempo and section structure.
Annotated Lyric Sheet pdf:
This sheet contains lyrics, their corresponding song sections, as well as notes on the vocal articulation, phrasing, nuance, and affect, that the worship leader should implement into their vocal delivery or replicate in an equivalent way that suits their unique solo voice.
A music notation score might be provided upon request, however, “by ear” learning is the preferred learning mode for Worship Leaders.
Backing Track:
The first backing track you will be provided with is essentially the reference recording as described above excluding the lead vocals. This track will allow you to practice your solo vocals unhindered by the solo vocals of the reference recording.
The second backing track that you will be given will be a draft track featuring my choral arrangement. This will be the track to which the Worship Leader will record their solo vocals.
